Our newest core area is the sewing studio, AKA "Sew Awesome"
We have a 5' x 8' cutting table, helpful for larger projects like quilts, tents, drapery, cushions and cutting patterns. AND you can iron on it!! For machines we have an industrial flat machine and industrial blindstitch machine, for light to medium weight work. There are 5 standard portable sewing machines and 2 overlock machines. For light upholstery projects we offer the use of a compressor with air guns - staples and brads. Cover your favorite dining room chairs or build a custom cornice board.
The studio opened for operation in April/2017 and we have members with years of experience in the design and sewing industry who can offer their expertise. From learning how to do simple garment repairs to making your own Yurt, this is the place to learn, teach and share.
